I have a reoccuring dream of My daughter drowning. I have this dream at least twice a week, and it’s really scary. I’m always looking for her in some body of water. I don’t know where I’m at, but I’m swimming around under this really dark water. I know I’m looking for my daughter, but I never do find her.

I dreamt that I was watching the news and they were doing a story on construction in a huge culvert that diverts water from a dam if it breaks. There was a crossover where there were bulldozers and trackhoes. My teenaged daughter and some of her friends were goofing off on the crossover and water came rushing and I had no way to distract her and tell her it was coming too quick and they were not paying attention. The water took her away and I knew she would die because it was too rough and no way out. It showed her going down like river rapids and I woke up scared and angry

I dreamed I was married and driving home at night from meeting my lover. I fell asleep and drove into a body of water. I woke up as my car was submerging and realized I would drown if I didn’t act quickly. I grew very calm and checked to make sure the windows were up. Then I unhooked my seat belt. Then I realized I needed to somehow get out of the car. Then I woke up so I don’t know if I actually drowned or not.

I had this dream that my whole family is swimming at this beach and there’s a huge whirlpool that sucks down my brother an I had to dive in to try and save him, but I only found his dead body and had to drag it to the surface.

I also had this other dream about myself drowning: I’m at a lake or something and I’m in the water up to my knees and I take a step forward, but it was deeper than I thought and my whole body went under in a second and something was dragging me down farther and farther and I was struggling against this invisible force, but it was no use. And then I just couldn’t hold my breath anymore so I gasped for air and then . . . I could breathe the water. And the invisible force let me go and I swam to the surface!

In my dream my daughter and I were in a row boat and when I got the boat to the dock my mother was on the deck saying ava watch how mommy gets out of the boat like a big girl and as soon as i turned around to get her out of the boat she stood up and lost her balance. Thus falling into the lake. I dove in after her but it was like her body was filled with cement and she was sinking faster than i could swim. She was looking at me with fear in her eyes saying mommy mommy mommy but she just kept sinking further into dark mucky water

Last night I was trying to fall asleep and I was at that part where I knew I was falling asleep but I also knew what was going on around me. Suddenly I got this image in my head of water everywhere around me and I was struggling to breathe and in my head I kept thinking: this is a dream bu why can’t I breathe?
And I just remember seeing he crystal blue of the water when the sun beaming down on me except, in the back of my head I was so scared because I actually couldn’t breathe and was right below the surface of the water but couldn’t manage to bring my head above the water….
That wasn’t very descriptive, I know, but that’s the only way I can put it int words.

i was dreaming that i was walking along a pool then my daughter was at the bottom drowning. I dropped in and rescued her and she was okay.
The night before I was dreaming that I was in a pool again but this time someone else was dead when i got there. Not sure who?
2 nights in a row of pools and drowning. At least lastnight in my dreamed I managed to save my daughter. What a scary feeling.
Anyone know what this is all about?

  • Estelle:

For the past few nights I have been having the same dream. My boyfriend who lives in New York and myself who lives in Johannesburg are at the beach and we are swimming. All of a sudden the sea becomes really rough and we find ourselves struggling to get to shore. The waves are massive and they just keep coming. Other bathers on shore are yelling out things like “swim faster!”, “You are going to drown!”. At this point I am extremely tired and I could not swim anymore. My boyfriend then tries to get me on his back and as he does this a huge wave pushes us onto shore. I do not understand this dream and the fact that I keep having it makes me very nervous. What could this dream mean?

In my dream, I was falling asleep while taking my baby a bath and every time I dozed off I keep filling the bath with water and finally when I woke up, I woke up to my baby covered in water and he looked dead. I picked him up from the water and he was alive.
This scared me so much. I wonder what it means?
