My husband walks across from our house to a field, full of dying yellowing weeds. He is followed by our dog. My husband says there are snakes in the field. He runs out of the field with the snake hanging from this thumb, with dog following behind, they run into our yard. He shoots that snake off his hand. He then runs back towards the field, taking out a knife he cuts the tip of his thumb almost of in an atempt to stop the poison. He yells to me, Get it! I ignore the snake since it has been shot it is not a threat. I pause then take my husband’s cell phone from his belt and call 911. I tell them that I believe he is going into shock and that I’m worried he could have a seizure because he has epilepsy.
